I just love council cleanups. Our area doesn't have dedicated days (that's the way it started, in the nineties) but everyone can book a collection for free twice a year, and then just leave all their crap on the side of the road.
So far I've gotten a dressing chair, two matching bedside tables, a third larger one which I'll use in the living room, two outdoor chairs, a rattan linen basket, a peg bag, a child's booster seat, and today (dun dun dun) a huge woven rug in fabulous condition, bigger than the one I actually bought. It will cover most of my bedroom floor, and I'm stoked. I've hung it up on my line, to give it a whack in the morning.

You'll be proud of me, another neighbour has put an exercise bike out, and I left it there. ✅
Stop press: I ended up putting it through the laundromat washer and I'm pleased to say it works well in my bedroom.
