Here are some programmes that I've found which will pay you cash for snapping a pic from your shopping receipts (and not just supermarkets - some of them accept fast food receipts, petrol, even the corner shop or the newsagency).
There's nothing more difficult than that, you simply snap your receipts with your phone, and collect the points. Once you have enough points you can cash them in for a reward. I snap mine into all of these whenever I've ventured out with my cash.
SnapMyEats - you complete a survey with each receipt you upload (about 30 seconds). I have been paid several times. This is currently my best earner for receipts and gets you about 25p per receipt!

STOREWARDS - took on the members of the now-dead Receipt Hog. Cashout is by Amazon gift card or by PayPal. I have been paid by this one. Open the app every day and you get bonus points just for visiting.
Shoppix - no referral programme at present but still worth joining! I've been paid by Shoppix. They often have short quizzes or surveys for points so check each time.

TopCashBack - this one is so important that it has its own page, as it is usually the best earner overall. Click here to read about it. At the time of writing (October 2020) its receipt snapping section is on hold due to Covid, but you can still earn quite a lot of cashback for online purchases.
Shopmium - has offers in a phone app which give you cashback if you buy certain items. Sometimes the offers are so good that the product ends up free (I got free Nutella). You and I both get a reward if you join using this link.
Quidco - which you should be a member of anyway to get cash back on your ordinary shopping - has an extra app called ClickSnap. This one has offers for buying certain products at a discount and if you buy any of them, you upload the receipt for cashback. Also, it has prize draws for free where it will accept ANY receipt from the past 7 days and it pays you one penny for each receipt uploaded. Join Quidco first and then:

SwagBucks is another programme you should already have joined which lets you upload your receipts for 2 SwagBucks each time. Unfortunately it's really flaky and often tells me the receipt can't be processed... but if you're patient maybe it will work for you.

GreenJinn - similar idea as CheckoutSmart and ClickSnap, and not connected to them so you are fine to use this with other cashback sites, but it has very few offers.

WARNING - CheckoutSmart - This appears to be owned by the same company as ClickSnap and has the same exact offers. The two companies will DENY your cashback if you use both, so do not bother with anything except the free draws.
